Empowering Students Through Digital Literacy
Over the course of 6 months, Madiha Wahid, from Bay Area led a virtual computer literacy class, helping bridge the digital education gap for children with limited access to technology. She designed and taught interactive lessons covering computer fundamentals, Microsoft Office, internet safety, cybersecurity, APIs, and other essential digital skills. Each lesson was adapted to the students' needs through visual presentations and accessible instruction that accounted for language barriers and limited resources. In addition to teaching, Madiha collaborated with the school's director and trained a volunteer to help sustain the program beyond her direct involvement. Through this initiative, students gained practical digital skills, increased confidence using technology, and valuable knowledge that will support their education and future opportunities.
